I still have it installed, but I sometimes have problems logging in to GfWL.. so no multiplayer  Is anybody else having problems with that? I am not sure if I maybe fucked something up in my win10 installation, so it can't connect or something.. a few weeks back i got it running and met some of the old guys still playing.. GrandPa, BMW and a few others I can't remember right now  I would even suggest one day in the week to be "IV-day" instead of an event.. but maybe we should try first, if it is still fun  EDIT: Or did they already shut gfwl down completely? |

hmm.. no, it's actually the oldschool disc version.. graphics settings work fine too. The only problem is with GamesForWindowsLive.. It logs in, but only in "(offline)" mode, so i can't access multiplayer. I think it is a network problem. The network settings of gfwl show that it can't find a internet IP or UPnP.. idk
EDIT: ok, nevermind.. i did a reset of the windows firewall and now i can log in again.. xD

Ok after trying to set up this game i have grown white hair. Now it starts, but then GFWL comes in asking for my key, which i input and it says profile not valid.... Is this happening because of my old key was registered 5 years ago and my new key from steam does not match...

I've tried a few times to get that game to work on my PC, and haven't been able to. My hardware isn't horrible either. I can run GTA V at 1920x1080/75Hz on mostly High settings. But for some reason with GTA IV, even when I turn the settings all the way down, I get really bad stuttering. I had it working at one point with my old graphics card, and I do remember it took some tinkering, but I can't remember exactly what I did.
"...Very High shadows require a late model video card with 1.5 - 2 Gigs of VRAM to work as intended. High Shadow Quality is the rough equivalent to Very High in the old solution."Try and turn the shadows down, see if that helps. One thing that i know makes the game stutter is the Clip Capture setting, set it to off. Hope it helps. |
