Played GTA4-races and -gta-races today for a while and must say: that game is the best. U can fight a pedestrian for an hour, can move like a fighter, and its not that arcady feeling in the races. But slow, intensive control of old shit. And thats quite similar to my life and maybe thats why i like it.
But: independently from my personal regards on which game i like more (that could change...) it seems to be an invariant fact, that there is an upcoming GTA4 event soon. Why? Because the Boss said so.
So loose your fingers and slow your mind, go practise in the night when nobody can see you and be the unexpected star like before. Make yourself ready.

It's just a matter of getting enough people with GTA 4 installed and running, so far only 13 out of 19 voters, we need more votes!

It seems that people have again problems with authorization in the Rockstar Social Club for GTA IV.  Sometimes it seems that Rockstar intentionally to block access to the multiplayer of GTA 4.  I think that this will continue again and again,need to get rid of the authorization window.  |

Usually when there's a problem with the authorization window,some players still have access,but most are no. Sometimes it lasts a week,week no access"try again"and so forth. A sixteenth number was 14 the servers in free mode. And yesterday, no one at all. Moondew2005 the third day could not gain access.
Now there is one server in free mode,I hope the issue is resolved.

Yes, Rockstar social club not working again. Last time it was impossible to play online for almost a week. But you can always find something good - this time gta5 works fine and I was able to play with grandpa4711 - thanks to him for company and patience. I hope my friends in GTA4 will not disappear during this time and later we'll be able to play together.

Good day Russian Driver. You suggested a method of solution better than renaming procedure file (sometimes you have to do again). Can write detailed instruction on paragraphs and give a link to the files with the necessary files to replace? I think many will be interested since the last two months are always problems logging into social club. I want to try this method on both version of GTA4.

For stable operation of the game you can try the following.
In the root game folder to create the file commandline.txt
And to register the settings (by choice, not need):
-benchmark
Runs the benchmark after loading the game.
-help
Shows a list of all commands of the graphics settings.
-renderquality
Sets the quality of the graphics. (0-4)
-shadowdensity
Sets the density of shadows. (0-16)
-texturequality
Sets the quality of textures. (0-2)
-viewdistance
Sets the drawing range. (0-99)
-detailquality
Sets the level of detail. (0-99)
-novblank
Disables vertical synchronization.
-norestrictions
Disables the limitation of the graphics settings.
-width
Sets the width of the display window.
-height
Sets the height of the display window.
-safemode
The launch of the game on the lowest graphics settings.
-frameLimit
Sets the limit of frames in the game.
-refreshrate
Sets the screen refresh rate.
-fullscreen
Forced run in full-screen mode.
-windowed
Force start in windowed mode.
-availablevidmem
Sets the volume of physical memory.
-percentvidmem
Sets the percentage of video memory, which will be able to use the game.
-fullspecaudio
Start the game with quality sound.
-minspecaudio
Start the game with slaboshchelocnam sound.

To disable precaching resources.

To disable the memory limit.

This method is necessary in order to avoid authorization socialclub login when re-entrances in the game.If you just installed the game and the login window does not give access to multiplayer,these files will not help. To make it all work,need at least one regular input via the authentication window! Otherwise it will not work! After,I think,in the file LaunchGTAIV,there remains the information that the registration was made. Go multiplayer in any server,later exit and close the game. Only then the original file LaunchGTAIV can be replaced. Don't forget to save the original file LaunchGTAIV! Copying it to a separate folder!
After you replace the LaunchGTAIV file to another one that will be in the link,the login window no longer appears. The game will immediately be run,and access to the multiplayer needs to be obtained! The archive be another file GSC.dll (nodvd),I think the title of the file speaks for itself. Both of these files I placed in the root folder of the game - "Grand Theft Auto IV". After that, problems with entering the game in multiplayer was not. I remind you that I have not steam version of the game guys,will this method work in the steam version I don't know!Here is a link to an archive with two files - www.fayloobmennik.net/5866758Yet there is a version that this method will only work with the latest patch for the game. But I have not verified it,since I long ago installed the latest patch.
P.S When I had a problem with the authorization window a long time ago,this way helped me to find - SideriticChaff4 my friend (his nickname montelemon in Rockstar Social Club). Thanks buddy!

Thanks for the detailed description. Will try tonight first on the steam version of the game. But the security system steam may not skip a file replacement. It will be interesting to try. When my defeat - I'll try again to install the regular version of GTA4 and torment her. If there is no access to the multiplayer after replacement,it is very bad. This means that either the source file does not have information about registration.Or for Steam version, this method is not suitable.
Yes, if you need the login window,simply return the original file to the place LaunchGTAIV,replacing it back. Think I still need to remove the file GSC.dll
The main task lies in the fact that in the original file must remain information about authorization profile!
