A few more tips/reminders that I felt I wanna share (I know people will have feelings about some of these):

• Watch distance, it's your responsibility to not rear-end the vehicle in front or put them in position where they'll have to sacrifice their cornering to avoid you ( unless you are safely overtaking )
• Throttle ( gas pedal ) can actually sometimes be released!
• Consider the risk and possible outcome when making moves or overtakes in busy traffic
• Use "lookback" before making drastic moves or line changes
• If you're entering the corner from the wide side towards the apex, pay attention if there's someone already there on the inside passing you
• Horn honks are used in variety of ways, ranging from casual meaningless "hey there" to acknowledgement of giving/accepting penalty overtake, or bringing awareness when passing by.
• You can use custom weapon loadout ( using gunlocker in properties like office ) to hide all guns / explosives / uzi smg so that they don't get in the way when pressing RMB/L1/LB
• Middle finger gesture rolls the window down. Using a weapon shatters it.
• The time during vehicle spawning ( pre-start grid ) can be used to put the roof down
• Since the start is manual, you might consider launch-control ( handbrake + armed half-throttle )
• If you don't own a needed car, just select something relatively similar in case of being forced to respawn due to accident that makes it impossible to return to track normally
• Sidewalks are for pedestrians. Period.
• Treat lampposts, road signs and traffic lights like static objects - avoid hitting at all costs
• Damn bushes that overhang by side of the road can sometimes make you slip on them and spin out
