Dan Houser was the co-founder of Rockstar Games with his brother Sam, Terry Donovan and Jamie King. Dan particularly had a massive part to play in the creation and direction of projects such as Bully, Red Dead Redemption and Max Payne. His legacy at Rockstar Games will remain cemented forever, and his future projects or endeavors are currently unknown.
Wtf, what does it means for Rockstar and GTA?

I just read about this, he is credited as being the main creative force for the entire GTA series and the two Red Dead games. He was also the lead writer on all the GTA games. After the news was released Take-Two's stock fell 5%.There seems to be a complete lack of information from either side as to why he left. This fills me with trepidation for GTA6, that game is only in the early stages of development and is at least two years away from launch. One can only suppose that Take Two's ideas for the game, (extending online monetization and/or truncated single player game?) may have been at odds with Dan's vision of what a GTA game should be. Speaking of online monetization, I see GTA continues the trend for ever increasing vehicle prices (for often mediocre vehicles) with no increases in cash rewards for completing missions/races, trying to push players to the dreaded Shark Cards. For GTA6 I can see baseline starter vehicles having prices in the 2 to 3 million range, with vehicles that are actualy useful being in the 6 - 10 million bracket.I fear for the games future

In the end, not too surprising, you all seen how the game has been heading down the drain with all the money milking and turning freemode into some mix of amazon delivery driver simulator and bollywood action flick with all the ridiculous flying shit etc.
