[11/29/16] GTAIV Patch 8 Notes (PC Only) - Added error code "WTV270" to indicate a problem with connecting to Windows Live Sign in Assistant / Games for Windows Live Servers.
- Added Windows 8, 8.1, and 10 to compatible OS check.
- Added Display Controller image in Controller Configuration.
- Fixed a bug which made completing "Out of Commission" mission impossible when frame rate exceeds 60fps.
- Fixed a bug with the "Resource Usage" indicator on graphics cards with more than 2GB of VRAM.
- Fixed a bug that restricted settings changes when using modern video cards.
- Fixed a bug with the map crosshair on certain resolutions.
- Fixed a bug with text scrolling in "Brief" Menu.
- Fixed "drawlist overflow" crash.
- Minor performance optimizations.
Update to GTAIV (to include Episodes from Liberty City) login servers Question: Why does the status change to “Social Club login failed. Please try again.” when I try to log in to GTAIV through the Social Club launcher?
Answer: We recently patched our login servers and you now need to upgrade the launcher to be able to log into GTAIV. Please use the following links to upgrade your launcher to be able to play GTAIV again:

I am speechless, not sure if fart, feel joyful, or host a new IV crew night where everyone who couldn't join or set up the game to run smoothly previously will assist and have a very fun time.

Hi Team!
Today I was in GTA IV, on the display 19 servers in "Free mode", players are mostly all new.
11 people in the mode "Team Deathmatch".
It seems indeed fixed the issue of authorization the RSC!

After a fresh steam install of the game, i did NOT have to do anything else since i had dealt with the GFWL issue before latest patch, and it worked online flawlessly from 1st try (i can't believe i just said that), the game looks better than before and runs smoother with less stuttering in my setup.

Music Updates in Grand Theft Auto IV, The Lost and Damned and The Ballad of Gay TonyLike at GTA VC and SA, Rockstar has to remove some music titles from GTA4, because of licensing restrictions. But read more at the Support Article link.  For me its very annoying. A video game is a work of art. The music and soundtracks belongs to the product, they are a big part of the mood. You can't easily replace something like that.  Imagine, the soundtrack of a movie is removed after 10 years.  Why does Rockstar sign licenses for 10 years? This Update could be a regular patch or a 10th anniversary After GTA VC, SA and 4, I hope they learned their leason. But I'm not sure about it. The official GTA 5 Trailer #2 is deleted from YouTube and on Rockstargames.com. Maybe licensing restrictions too? Stevie Wonder - Skeletons (1987) was the soundtrack on that trailer. The title is at the moment in the game. Look after the next Update.

The new patch has narrowed the frontage, but multiplayer still works.
I keep 1.0.8.0 because I haven't applied latest patches.
Actually, I made a race session and raced several times.
After all, there are few players.
if you keep waiting very long time in the lobby, players will come in, very rarely lol
If you meet at a designated time with a friend, you will be able to play as usual.
