... there were some people who met every night in a Computer game called GTA4. They didnt't meet in Gangster and cops, didn't meet in deathmatch, no, you could find them in races. Every night enough people to fill a race Lobby. Often you had to wait for a free place for minutes. They had fun with the same tracks every night, had a fair behaviour and lots of fun for years. One day some of these People put a GT before and a V8 after the nickname, just for fun. Other hardcore racer of this Group did the same and they were known and feared by other Players for their skills. That was the real beginning of todays GTV8 Racing Crew. So do i remember. After years of abscence (didnt accept the changes of car driving Feeling caused by slipstream and Catchup and Lobby building after i tried on PS3) now finally i bought GTA5 some weeks ago. I knew, because LOB invited me to Racing Crew years ago, that many of my old Buddys are active in this game. I expected to find the old community and race Events every night. But know, after some time in race lobbies in GTA5, I feel really alone in this game. I didn't like other game modes than race in GTA4 and know ist the same. Since 5 weeks i only drive races every day. Only rare moments i have contact to GTV8 there. Beside this i only find lobbies for stunt races, rather would do street races with YOU. Many of you are years in this game. there must be interesting selfmade playlists. I would be happy to have at least 2 nights a week that are GTV8 nights again. (Think of playlist tracks we always drive, like former times) So, is this a CEO Crew? Or a daily duty Crew? OR IS THIS A RACING CREW? What u think?

I can understand u! Its hard to find us in race lobbys. Its the fuckin matchmaking system in V. I totaly miss the lobby system in IV. In V i cant see: where is a race lobby. what race they do ... where are my friends. I only can join "blind" and hope friends making a race. Not good.
What we are? Thats hard to say. I think in V we have much more options to play different gamemods. So we are not only a race crew. Some player make CEO, some Sumo, some Heist, some race, and and and ...
For me: I play to 80 percent race, atm mostly stunt, the rest i make heists and free lobby stuff.
I like your idea to make daily playlist. Other crews also do that. And sure we have interesting playlists.

Nothing more to say Marvel  But for me, GTA was/is and will be not a pure racing game. I love serious races in GTA, but I also like the funny races with friends, enjoy adventure/trial races. But GTA isn't for me a Racing-Simulator. Actually, GTA is a not a good serious racing game. The lampposts, the trash/stuff on streets, the peds etc. Everything can happen, sometimes it's very frustrating. But thats GTA racing, the way I like  It's alot of fun. If I'm looking for a realy serious racing game, GTA isn't the wrong game for me. And with the Content Creator, a dream was come true.  |

Having the races on a semi-regular basis would be a great thing imo, though it takes some effort to keep it fresh. I joined NoDo's daily playlists quite a while ago and have to say it is quite enjoyable. Thing is that to me gets stale when it's always the same races, which is why I don't care about standart R* created races anymore. |

I want to push this thread up again, because i meanwhile have the same thoughts (and feelings of frustration) Germaica had (see first post and read in between the lines). It is annoying to be in a racing crew without racing.
So if someone has a playlist which could be driven on mondays at 19.00 GMT for an hour, please write it down. Someone else for tuesdays, for wednesdays and so on. I think that would upraise my motivation to play GTA 5 again.

Hey. Nearly every time when i am online i host a race session. Mostly non contact (if only friends and crew member join with contact). Mostly classic Rockstar Tracks (i like them). Everybody is welecome. I invite before every race all friends and crew member. But mostly only a few friends and crew mates join. Maybe because of stupid match making. Maybe many people never see my invite. Maybe because nobody like me. xD Sometimes a nice session araise. Sometimes i give up after 5min because nobody join. Creating a fix playlist per day can help. But i cant organise it. I cant exactly say when i am online.

It's alot of fun. If I'm looking for a realy serious racing game, GTA isn't the wrong game for me.
