So I thought about taking my old XBOX 360 online to make a profile and use that to finally gain access to the boni for returning players (Dukes online and stock car races for offline). Turns out it doesn't really work like I hoped it would which means I basicly lost ALL my cars, my rank and my weapons. All I got left is the money I had right before the transfer.

I really hope they do something like this. But that would be a lot of money. I made some rough calculations and think I would need about 12 Million $ just for upgrades, not even considering buying the cars. Also had some things on pegasus which would be around 8 Millions, and buying all the cars again...
Upgrades is a big point though. I could rebuild my Banshee for Le Mans, have enough money on the bank, but I need to get to lvl 100 or win a lot of races to unlock the upgrades.
I find myself even a bit excited as I have more fun playing the game when there is a goal I am "working" towards, but if I don't get my stuff back that will take quite a while to get back to a decent status (not to think about the Lurcher).
Really wished the game would have told me after that I can now use the bonus content right after connecting the console profile with the one from the PC.

aw man that sucks. Maybe try to sent a ticket to R support about your lost time-limited lost content, but i'm septical about this ? Did you mean you have lost your character itself or just the content related to this character (cars, etc...) ? I hope you finaly have your returning content bonus at least  ,normally you just need to link your Xlive with your SC account, no character transfer needed... |

I already opened a ticket, still waiting for an answer.
The whole character is lost except for the money I had at that point. For now I'm using another one I just created, starting at lvl 1.
But yes, I'm the proud owner of the Imponte Dukes, and considering the circumstances it is by far the most expensive car in GTAOnline right now. xD
Didn't know you only had to link the accounts; actually made a second char on PC before this which I thought would be the only one being overwriten.

Still no answer from Rockstar, although there seems to be some activity with the ticket. I hope I get an answer soon as right now I only have tuned the Banshee 900R so I can still take part in Le Mans tomorrow. Don't think it would be a good idea to go on a spending spree as long as I don't know if my current char will be permanent...

I am getting everything back, there will be a total reset of my character to the state right before the character migration.  Big thanks to R*-Support especially as they didn't have to do this. This was pretty much my fault, just maybe the SC-website could have stated that I've unlocked the content right away. |

Wasn't too sure either. Definetly happy they still had the old char safed. Otherwise it would have been a nightmare, even IF they were willing to help. Getting all the unlocks and likely over 30 Million $, don't think that would have happened.
