Well, according to the internet it is now 20:08 GMT. I'm not sure what the problem is, but after waiting for over an hour, I consider my obligations to this event fullfilled and will now spend the rest of the evening in a more fruitful manner.

A great event no doubt Lots of racing, lots of fun. Lots of contact also, but its part of what makes you closer to the other player ehehe I could not record any races, i just hope someone else did and can post it

First of all, thanks Lob to organize the event and create the tracks. I can imagine, how much work this is, with so much props in a track. I enjoyed this raceevent the most times, because I was lucky with some rams and crashes. But sometimes, it was realy terrible. I noticed that some good friends left the race during the event, which is very sadly for me. I don't realy know why, but the ramming and crashing was very terrible. Especially after start or in a dangerous corner. Only a few player were waiting after a hard push or after a spin out, they looked for room to get back to the track. Driving like an idiot as fast as you can isn't racing with players. Not the fastest players should win the race, the cleverest players should. Our Crewmotto in the Socialclub is " Think before you drive". From Bernie Ecclestone Because you can't overtake and win a race with ramming and crashing others. You know, we're not NPC's without feelings, we're humans. Sometimes I felt chased by a rampaging herd of young bulls. I was afraid. If I were spin out for myself, I had no chance to get my car in the correct direction or respawn, because I was instant rammed. It's very annoying to be crashed everytime and you have no chance for a clean race. For me clean racing with contact is... - Respect each other
- Give other players room in the track
- More defensive driving, not too aggresive
- Less risky driving style. If you crashed somebody, give him a chance and wait for him. Horn and lights are a good signal.
- For defense, don't block the raceline. Only 1 change of lane is allowed.
- Be a clever racer. For overtaking YOU have to leave the raceline, not the opponent. Except for overlaping (Blue Flag)
- Be smarter as your opponent. Get the better acceleration or brake him off. Search a perfect raceline.
- Watch your opponent and his raceline. Maybe you notice a weak point for clever and fast overtaking.
And I noticed the 60FPS lock went very well. Much more player had a chance to be in front or win the race. The winners was a good mix during the event. This should be a general rule in all races. It's just fair!
Unfortunately, Rockstar did a realy bad job with the start position in GTA Online Races. The Host is always the first, players who joined the session very early have always a perfect start position in front. Players who joined the session very late, starts always from the very behind. In GTA 4 this was better and give other (slow) players a chance and makes the race more interesting. The start position order in the next race was the reverse order from the last race places. Winner starts from behind, loser starts from the first place.

A big "thank you" to Lob for creating this event. I enjoyed it very much. Rush said everything I think, so I canĀ“t/no need to add anything.
Maybe we can repeat this soon - with "no contact".

I drove the tracks a lot to prepare myself for the event. And they are absolutely great tracks. When foreign people were with me they always said that too: awesome tracks, very nicely made. Thanks to Lob who put so much effort into this! We had new players this time in our group and as i could see it was mainly some of them who failed very often or they didnt behave like we are used to in our crew. In my opinion this is a deficit which we are producing by ourselves. We are getting new, i think younger members because of several reasons, e.g. the event-videos and our youtube-channel. People join some days before the event because they like how the event is presented. This won't change in future - if we go on to advertise our crew like we are doing now. So it is evident now to make own GTV8 Crew Racing Rules and to make sure the participating members know about them firmly. I started a thread to collect more concrete opinions on how the rules should be formulated. When we have the significant rules together i would suggest to make a video to show the rules in action. People mainly follow visual inputs much better than a text, it's more understandable. We should show the typical situations which we want to avoid and give the solution by our rule. This way the people who join shortly before and for an event can be integrated i hope. gtv8.freeforums.net/thread/291/gtv8-contact-racing-rules
